The girls, aged 15 and 17, had been missing for over 24 hours, prompting cops to release a public appeal.
Two missing teenage girls who were feared to have travelled more than 30 miles away from home have been found. Naomi Doran, 17, and Aimee Ivatt, 15, were last seen in the Alexandria area around 9.30pm on Friday, January 16.
Officers believed they were together and may have ventured from the West Dunbartonshire town, near Dumbarton, to Bellshill, North Lanarkshire. They also had links to the Paisley area.
A desperate search was launched following their disappearance, with the force asking for the public’s help in getting to the bottom of where they were.
Police Scotland has now confirmed that the youngsters have been found. A spokesperson said: “Naomi Doran and Aimee Ivatt, who were reported missing from Alexandria, have been traced. Thank you for sharing our appeal.”
