Glasgow city centre bar looking for new team to come in and run it

Located in St Enoch Square, Times Square needs an “experienced, hands-on” operator to come in and run the place.

A popular Glasgow pub in the city centre is looking for a new team to come in and run it.

Pub company Greene King is on the hunt for an “experienced, hands-on” operator to take over the Times Square bar in St Enoch Square.

Described as a “standout city-centre letting opportunity in a prime position”, the venue has just completed a “transformational refurbishment” of its bar and diner, with an annual estimated turnover of just over £1 million and a weekly rent of £1,500.

Posting about the offer, Greene King said: “Benefitting from consistent footfall driven by major retail, excellent transport links, nearby hotels and leisure attractions. The pub is already an established, high-capacity bar diner with the added advantage of a prominent front terrace and a self-contained function space, creating the foundations for multiple strong trading occasions across the week.

“The ideal operator will be experienced, hands-on and highly organised, with the pace and leadership to run a busy city-centre venue, deliver consistent standards, and build a strong team culture while confidently balancing wet-led trade with quality food, sport and entertainment.”

They added that the successful candidate should look to actively developing the function room as a bookable destination, stating: “Building a clear and repeatable calendar of events, and forming local partnerships with businesses, hotels and group organisers, supported by targeted marketing that converts passing trade into regular, loyal customers and makes the venue a go-to choice for both everyday visits and standout occasions in the heart of Glasgow.”
