Over the TRSNMT weekend, an estimated 50,000 fans attended the festival over the three-day weekend which saw Paisley singing sensation Paolo Nutini take the place by storm.
Paolo headlined on the opening night on Friday as he performed in front of a packed Glasgow Green crowd who were all excited to have him back. . He was met with a huge cheer from the crowd and was visibly stunned to see the love he got from the crowd upon entry. The singer performed hits from his new album such as ‘Acid Eyes’ whilst also mixing up some of his older hits into a different style.
On the Friday, Paolo shared the stage with Tom Grennan, Nile Rodgers and Chic and Sam Fender who all paid compliments to Nutini as he returned from his music hiatus, with Sam Fender saying: “I am Jealous that Paolo is Scottish, I would love him to be a Geordie”.

Dates for TRSNMT in 2023 have been released and the festival weekend is set to take place from Friday, July 7 until Sunday, July 9. Ticket prices for TRSNMT ticket holders this year have been frozen with those on the TRSNMT mailing list and 3Mobile customers getting early access to tickets on Wednesday, July 13, and general sale going live on Friday, July 15.
Geoff Ellis, festival director of cinch presents TRNSMT, said: “What an incredible weekend we’ve had. We had the sun shining on Glasgow Green, a fantastic line up of over 70 artists across four stages and 50,000 incredible fans every day – we really couldn’t have asked for more.
“It was great to welcome back international artists to Glasgow Green, but also to see excited music fans enjoying our best homegrown talent, with Paolo Nutini closing day one and The Snuts getting the crowd going on Saturday.
“TRNSMT marks the halfway point in Scotland’s record-breaking summer of music and I’d like to thank the artists, the fans and everyone who works extremely hard behind the scenes to make this festival happen.”
