Night-time bus reintroduced to ease pressures from rail disruption

Paisley folk who like a night out in Glasgow can now hop on the night-time bus service.

The service will be introduced on Friday – covering travel from the city centre to surrounding areas including Paisley.

The plan to reintroduce this service is to “help support Glasgow’s night time economy” and to also “help ease the pressures felt by rail disruption” First Glasgow have said.

Service N9 from Sauchiehall Street is one of the services introduced that will help people from the Paisley and Renfrewshire area get home safely, with the service terminating at Paisley Cross.

The bus company has also said in the statement that not only the buses will help people enjoy their night out but also help people get home safely and comfortably.

Graeme Macfarlan, of First Bus Scotland, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the return of First Glasgow’s night bus network, supporting the city’s night-time economy while also helping people get home safely at the weekend.

“We are aware of the challenges people have experienced in getting home from a night out, an event or indeed after a night shift in the city centre in the early hours of the morning”
