I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor who specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I provide a warm, safe place where you can talk confidentially without being judged. I will work collaboratively with you to help you find the best solutions for your problems. You are the expert in your own life, so I am not going give you advice or tell you what to do, rather we will work together to create a treatment plan that works for you and your needs.
I specialise in treating anxiety disorders, depression and trauma but also offer support for other problems and difficulties including low self-esteem, relationship issues and sleep disorders.
How CBT Works
CBT is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help you deal with your problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. I will show you how to change negative patterns to improve the way you feel. Together we will look for practical ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis.
